Remote Keyless Entry System Explained

In the past, the main system of security that was used to protect a home from intruders was the use of locks in all entryways. It worked well, except for the fact that locks could be forged by another locksmith and entry to homes and vehicles gained. It is the reason the keyless entry system was created.

This system of security was created so that entry to a car, or at times a home could be limited, and only the person with keyless controller can gain entry. This system works in a very easy way in that a short radio transmission is used to activate a pad on the entry system- the car door.

The signal is normally coded and a person has to be within range; usually a predetermined distance for the lock to be activated. It is usually very hard for a person to open such a car without the pad, since it is the only way that entry can be gained.

Therefore, this security system is quite advanced and secure; it is the reason, a large number of people with cars often use them. Furthermore, in case someone attempts to break in to the car, an alarm is set off, and the burglary thwarted.
